Peace River: The Lifeblood of the North |
|
Explore the crystalline waters of the Peace and its neighbouring waterways to reel in magnificent trout, grayling and whitefish.
As we drifted downriver from Hudson’s Hope, we passed forest-covered slopes and rocky shorelines with little sign of human habitation. It was easy to imagine ourselves as part of Alexander MacKenzie’s expedition 200 years earlier, using the Peace River to explore the Northwest and establish a fur trade route for the Northwest Company.
